2:1 ability to plan, organise prepare solutions/ 3:1 Analyse of solutions to 3D problem

Planning shoot to represent my own joiner ( that is influenced by photographer David Hockney)

lighting
In this particular shoot the type of lighting can range due to the fact that it will not affect the purpose of the image; because i will be shooting on location my main source of lighting will be from daylight. it would be preferable that i could shoot in direct sunlight purely because of the structure of how Hockney shot his images hens why i would prefer to shoot in direct sun light in a sense i am following the process Hockney created his joiners.

Camera
I will using my Canon D1200 DSLR that will be accompanied by an 18-55 lens.

What i am shooting
I plan to take a series of images based on my house, this will consist of images shot a different focal lengths and angles which will then be either printed and pieced together (thus creating a "joiner") or i will upload all my shots from this shoot and piece them together through editing software.  (i.e. Photoshop)

ISO
With it being bright sunny day i'd expect to shoot at 100 ISO

White balance
Daylight

Shutter speed
1/125; This negates the need for a tripod.

Aperture
I'd will be shooting at F8 or F11 which is the optimum aperture or lens performance, which is best suited to this task as i will be ranging different focal lengths and angles etc.

I will shoot these images as and where is appropriate, because of the fact that with this particular assignment it is only required of me to present evidence to show that i have been successful in creating my '3D object' that is influenced by a photographer i have researched. (in this case David Hockney)

Final Outcome

What happened- Once i had constructed my 3D I chose to shoot the object at 3 different angles to present to the viewer every point of view possible to represent how my 3D project would of looked in person.

How do i feel it went- My overall experience when conducting this assignment, was the lack of confidence i personally had; due to the fact that half way through this assignment i had misplaced my possessions of which all data was lost (I.E research, contact sheets, test shoots, images of the stages of building 3D object) hence why my final images resulted in a clear observation of it being not set to a high standard of work. Because of the faults i had encountered when progressing on in this particular unit; i was not pleased with the end results.

Evaluation- The positive factors that came out of unit 5 was that despite the comprmises i had to make i was sucessful in creating my 3D object in the style of my influencial photographer. ( David Hockney) However the negative factors that came out of this practical, was that during the process my work was ultimately lost, which could of potentially set my work to a higher standard.
This experiment was helpful in the sense that by planing and using the accumulated knowlage i have learnt i have been able to apply said knowledge in a practical situation which has prepared me for future practical work that will be improved to ensure all aspects of my pre-palnnning have been met. (I.E ensuring that i have more than one copy of my work encase of any problems such as the aspect i had come across where i lost all data so that i am not then forced to restart what i had already previously completed)

Analysis- In terms of the relationship made between the main subject and background in my final images it could of been prestened in a more relevant and neutral manner in conjunction with this unit as a whole. To improve on how i could of present my work in my final shoot, i personally would of placed my object in a plane white background purley because it was not nessesary for me to create a narrative in my final images that would relate to my main subject (in this case my 3D object) therefore including a white background would show that it holds no purpose or relationship to the "main subject"

Conclusion- I have to ensure i double check that i have a secure place to keep my work so that i don't  encounter any problems relating to losing my work ( I.E keeping more than one copy of information). i will also keep an open mind as well as a better grasp on how i chose to present my as a final images; in a presentable manner that relates strongly to what is asked of me in the brief.

I have made this particular aspect my conclusion due to the faults i had made with this unit as mentioned previously.  (faults in keeping the information in a safe place) this was a huge issue as i was not able to included as much information i had originally planned to show that i have use various  techniques and processes when completing this assignment as it was an important part to present when meeting the standards of this unit.
